Creating Data Quality Rule Templates in CDGC with Bulk Import Asset

Introduction:

In Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC), managing and ensuring the quality of your data is essential to building trusted data assets. One of the core functionalities within CDGC is the ability to create Data Quality (DQ) Rule Templates to assess the quality of your data in a standardized and automated way.

A Data Quality Rule Template defines the logic for assessing data quality based on predefined criteria, such as completeness, consistency, accuracy, or uniqueness. These templates can be applied across various data assets within your organization, enabling automated monitoring and reporting of data quality issues.

Import Asset Feature Overview

The Import Asset feature in CDGC allows the users to bring in external data definitions, metadata, or assets into the CDGC environment. This functionality can be extended to include the importation of pre-defined Data Quality Rule Templates. By importing these templates, organizations can streamline the process of ensuring that data assets meet certain quality standards without having to manually create each rule from scratch.
